Connection Strength - What is it, how is it calculated?

What is a Connection?

A connection is a person who has a first-degree LinkedIn connection with at least one member of your team.

How is Connection Strength Calculated?

Connection strength reflects how many team members are connected to a person on LinkedIn:

  • Weak Connection – 1 team member connected

  • Medium Connection – 2 team members connected

  • Strong Connection – 3 or more team members connected

Future Enhancements

Future versions will expand connection strength to include email and calendar data, measuring the frequency of emails exchanged and meetings attended with each person.
